GENERAL INFORMATION
The Chilean Congress of ICTs for Education (TICXED) is a track of the International Conference of the Chilean Computer Science Society, whose objective is to share the progress and impact of the use of ICTs in the educational field. Technological support for education ranges from improving student learning to monitoring management processes, associated with the analysis of data and relevant information for the improvement of teaching practices. TICXED is a successor to the Chilean Congress of Higher Education in Computing (CCESC), which has been held since 1999 as part of the Chilean Computing Conference (JCC).
TICXED welcomes submissions that describe experiences, analyze results of teaching practice in the training of students or that present innovations with technological support that improve student learning.
The articles must be original and not published in substantially similar versions.
The submitted articles will be judged by at least three reviewers of the Program Committee, taking into account criteria of originality, clarity and contribution to this topic.
The proceedings of the International Conference and their tracks will be published by IEEE-CS, all accepted articles must meet the publication standards and have at least one of the authors registered at the event.
The articles must be formatted according to the IEEE-CS proceedings format IEEE-CS.
The articles must be written in Spanish, English or Portuguese and have between 4 and 8 pages, according to the contribution of the article. One of the authors must submit their work through the Easychair system.
The following is a non-exhaustive list of topics relevant to the event:
- Innovations in the classroom with technology support.
- Learning experiences using technologies on specific topics of the discipline.
- Development of Computational Thinking using technology.
- Application of Learning Analytics in the monitoring of educational processes.
- Gamification applied to the educational field.
- Integration of ICTs in the classroom.
- Evaluation of competences using ICTs.
- ICT tools and environments to support teaching and learning.
- Simulation software in education.
- Teaching methodologies and instructional design with ICTs.
- Development of professional and generic competencies using technology.
- ICTs for education in non-university settings.
- Use of ICTs for meaningful learning.
- Application of active methodologies using ICTs.
- Collaborative learning supported by technology.
- Educational robotics.
- Gender in computer education.
Author registration
At least one author of accepted article must register in the conference no later than Monday, October 12, 2020 (https://jcc2020.cl/). In case of not complying with this requirement, the work will be withdrawn from the event program.
IMPORTANTES DATES
Submission Deadline: Sunday, September 6th, 2020.
Notification of Acceptance: Saturday, October 15th, 2020.
Camera Ready: Sunday, November 1st, 2020.
