GENERAL INFORMATION

The objective of this event is to open a space for discussion and dissemination of the most outstanding articles in computing published by academics from Chilean universities in prestigious magazines or foreign events. Lo Mejor de lo Nuestro (LMN, The best of Ours) is a one-day event on the XXth of November 2020 Online organized by the School of Engineering of the Universidad Católica del Norte at Coquimbo.



The invitation to participate is open to academics to present their work published between 2017 and 2020. Articles must have at least one author with affiliation to an institution belonging to the Chilean Society of Computer Science and have not been previously presented in LMN.

You are requested to send a summary of the reason why the article is considered high impact and why it may be interesting to present it to the entire Computer Science community in the country (maximum 1500 characters), e.g. paper indexed by Web of Science, conference category according to CORE, number of citations, country-relevant topic or other appropriate indicator.



The articles will be selected according to the criteria of the organizing committee considering the potential and impact on the community and it is expected that they will be presented in a talk during the event.

To apply for an article to LMN, interested academics should send a summary in pdf format, through the easychair website (Best of Ours 2020 track) at the link.

The abstract should contain the following:

Article title
Complete data of the reference (name of conference / journal, pages, year of publication, DOI or official web address)
Full name and institution of the author who will present the article if selected
Summary of maximum 1500 characters the reason why the article is considered high impact and why it can be interesting to present to the community

The articles will be submitted for review using the easychair system, selecting the track “The Best of Our 2020”. All contributions will be reviewed by at least two members of the Program Committee, who can request changes or clarify doubts.

Sending a contribution implies that at least one of the authors must register as an author in the JCC2020 Chilean Computing Conference. In case of acceptance, one of the authors must present their article via videoconference through Zoom in the Congress. Registrations are now open on the event page.

IMPORTANT DATES

Submission Deadline: Sunday, September 6th, 2020.

Notification of Acceptance: Saturday, October 15th, 2020.

Camera Ready: Sunday, November 1st, 2020.
