As organizers, we hoped that we could be able to host the Chilean Computing Days on the Coquimbo campus of the Universidad Católica del Norte and receive visits at our headquarters and the Coquimbo Region.
The Covid19 pandemic imposed reality told us that the only possible way to host the conferences is online.
We will try to use the virtual word as little as possible. It will be a virtual presence of the participants and we will maintain our locality through virtual visits to our University and the Coquimbo Region.
The rest, we must make it totally real. That is what our organizing effort will be focused on. We will have our article presentations at the different events, we will have invited talks and discussion tables. There will be space for the SCCC assembly and stakeholder meetings requested at the time. The articles will be published according to the usual rules in the Proceedings of the IEEE, with a Scopus index.
We have the important support from REUNA, which will allow us to enable rooms for webinars with capacity for 500 participants and two additional rooms for parallel events with capacities for up to 200 participants.
We invite authors to redouble their efforts to send their contributions, which will have as an additional incentive to increase the potential scope of their work, not to mention the significant cost reduction associated with the Online modality.
Sincerely
JCC2020 Organization
